Job summary

The Substation Construction Worker at Paradigm Power Delivery, Inc. performs construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical substations, working with high-voltage equipment, grounding systems, and control wiring.

You will follow OSHA/NESC safety standards, read blueprints, lift heavy loads, and collaborate with a field team across sites in Missouri and surrounding areas, including possible travel and overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or apprenticeship in electrical preferred.
• 1–3 years of electrical or substation construction experience.
• Valid driver's license; CDL may be required.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and PPE.
• Outdoor work in extreme weather; physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist construction of new substations and upgrades.
• Install transformers, circuit breakers, bus work, switches, control panels.
• Excavate, conduit install, and formwork for foundations.
• Lay out and connect grounding and bonding systems.
• Pull, terminate, and test control/power cables.
• Operate bucket trucks, cranes, or forklifts if certified.
• Adhere to drawings, schematics, and safety regulations.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe condition.
• Follow OSHA, NESC, and company safety standards.
• Support commissioning and testing efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
