Job summary

Dashiell in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join the Preconstruction group, supporting civil and structural scope on high voltage EPC projects. This technical, cross-functional role sits at the intersection of structural engineering, estimating, and procurement, driving bid accuracy and competitiveness.

Houston office at 12031 Kurland Dr. Minimum 4–7 years in civil/structural design or EPC, with preference for a PE license.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Civil/Structural Eng preferred; experience considered in lieu.
• 4–7 years in civil/structural design or EPC substation projects.
• P.E. license preferred; licensure pursued considered.
• Proficiency with ACI 318, AISC 360, ASCE 7, IEEE 693.
• Experience with design software such as RISA and L-Pile.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for substation EPC projects.
• Develop or review structure designs for substation equipment including seismic and wind loading per codes.
• Create detailed scopes of work and technical specifications for procurement.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure lead times, material specs, and vendor qualifications align with project schedule.
• Lead internal proposal reviews and present civil/structural scope to estimating leads and project managers.
