Job summary

PG&E is seeking a journey-level Civil/Structural Engineer for the West Sacramento area in a hybrid role. You will lead the engineering and design of complex projects, apply engineering principles with minimal supervision, and collaborate with project managers and contractors to deliver safe, reliable electric infrastructure.

Responsibilities include developing technical studies, guidance on drawings, procurement support, and coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Active California Civil PE license is required.
• 3 years of experience in civil or structural engineering and design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project walkdowns and establish scope, schedule and cost with the project team.
• Prepare cost estimates and investigate resources for engineering tasks.
• Establish engineering schedule and prepare project forecasts and updates.
• Provide guidance on design and review documents, ensuring criteria and scope are met.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and assist in construction support and problem resolution.
• Contribute expertise in design criteria, specifications, and reports; may perform Associate-level duties.
