Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Drafting Technician to join our Engineering team. You will create and modify electrical and P&C drawings for substation projects using CAD software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation, while adhering to CAD standards.

You will organize project drawings, perform quality checks, and support the engineers with submittals and document control. This role requires 0–3 years of drafting experience and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent practical experience in engineering drafting.
• 0–3 years of experience in electrical drafting or related fields.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; MicroStation familiarity is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and quality deliverables.
• Effective written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide production CAD support by developing, enforcing CAD standards.
• Prepare complete documents and drawings from engineers' specifications.
• Develop substation physical drawings and P&C diagrams using CAD software.
• Maintain CAD document archive and file integrity.
• Coordinate with operations, project teams, and vendors.
• Assist engineers with coordination and shop drawing reviews.
• Organize CAD drawings and generate design reports.
