Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Reading, PA, is seeking a Drafting professional to join their multi-disciplined team. This role allows you to develop your drafting skills while applying advanced computer tools like AutoCAD and MicroStation. You will engage in both office and remote work settings.

As part of your responsibilities, you will create sketches for installations and assist experienced designers. Sargent & Lundy offers competitive benefits and a relocation package.

Qualifications

• An Associates Degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience.
• Familiarity with Bentley Substation Design.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans.

Responsibilities

• Utilize and expand drafting skills in a multi-disciplined team environment.
• Apply computer-aided drafting skills with training in 3D design software.
• Create master sketches showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of computer drafting tools (i.e. AutoCAD and/or MicroStation)

Ability to visualize Equipment Details, Phase to Ground and Phase to Phase Clearances

Ability to multi-task from project to project

Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of a computer

Education

Associates Degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience
