AEP in New Albany, OH is seeking a Substation Designer to support CAD-based design development for substation facilities. You will create, revise and maintain engineering drawings, and coordinate with civil, structural, and protection teams to ensure integrated designs and compliance with project requirements.

Responsibilities include assisting in layouts, equipment configurations, and field support. Proficiency with CAD tools and Microsoft Office is required, with overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Formal drafting/CAD education or related engineering tech degree.
• Equivalent experience: high school + 6 years in electric utility drafting if no AAS.
• Familiar with drafting symbols and color distinction; ability to read vendor prints and shop drawings.

Responsabilités
