Job Overview

Provide independent advanced nurse practitioner clinical expertise to patients and their families, managing chronic, acute, or critical medical conditions according to standardized procedures or licensure. Responsibilities include non-invasive or invasive procedures, surgical procedures, and patient management decisions, acting as an expert resource for care providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient care, including some or all listed responsibilities (80%)
• Engage in professional development (10%)
• Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice (5%)
• Participate in research and education activities (5%)

Minimum Qualifications

• At least one year of recent clinical experience as a nurse practitioner, preferably in addiction medicine and psychiatry
• Valid California RN license, NP furnishing license, and certification without restrictions
• DEA certificate within 3 months of hire
• Master’s, DNP, or PhD in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Excellent communication, judgment, organizational, and stress management skills

Department & Position Details

Join the UC Davis Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in serving a diverse patient population at the Substance Abuse Disorders Clinic. Collaborate with residents, students, and faculty, with a salary range of $87.69 - $115.72/hour, working full-time on-site, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
