Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health in Rome, GA seeks an Addictive Disease Support Services Specialist (ADSS) to assist individuals with substance use-related needs. The role focuses on skill-building, resource linkage, and transition to community care, within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include ensuring caseloads meet frequency per treatment plans, facilitating crisis support, coordinating with external agencies, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Human Services, Criminology, or related field.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in behavioral health, specifically substance use disorders.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with skill-building, resource linkage, and transition to the community.
• Ensure caseload visits per treatment plan and coordinate releases of information.
• Provide assessment, monitoring, and support for self-management of symptoms.
• Advocate for resources and coordinate care with external agencies and courts.
• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment/recovery team meetings.
