Job summary

Health Connect America is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Therapist to work under supervision of a Licensed staff approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling or Social Work. You will assist with assessments, facilitate group sessions, and provide individual and family services for clients with addiction.

Responsibilities include intake screening, psychosocial assessments, documentation, referrals, and coordinating with payers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in human services or related field.
• Must be approved by the state of VA to be a Resident in Counseling (LPC Resident) or approved to be a Supervisee in Social Work (LCSW-Supervisee).

Responsibilities

• Perform intake screening and assist with assessments.
• Facilitate group sessions and individual services for clients with addiction.
• Perform program administrative functions including psychosocial assessments and documentation, contacts with referral sources and family, urine drug screens, and payer authorization.
• Provide psychoeducational programming using appropriate therapeutic modalities.
• Conduct weekly family education and weekly programs.
