Pay Range: $28 to $35 per hour (DOE/DOQ) plus $3,000 sign-on bonus

JOB PURPOSE: Provides a range of substanceuse disorders and co-occurring disorders treatment at Peninsula BehavioralHealth, working within a multi-disciplinary team. This SUDP will also work withour Forensics team, providing SUD appropriate assessments and referrals as partof their essential responsibilities. As part of Washington State's response tothe Trueblood settlement, which addresses delays in providing competencyevaluation and restoration services to individuals involved in the criminallegal system, the Forensic Program plays a key role in providing a number of community-basedoutreach and other supportive services to assist with bridging gaps and improveparticipant outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides clinically appropriateoutpatient treatment services, including but not limited to:
- evaluationand referral (in office and in the field)
- groupand individual counseling.
- developmentand review of treatment plans
- casemanagement as appropriate
- coordinationof services
- clientand family education
- Works with the client and thetreatment team to determine an appropriate course of treatment to meet theparticipant's goals and the expected outcomes.
- Refer clients to appropriatesupport services and to other levels of care when needed.
- Document case notes, treatmentplans, evaluations, and all other required paperwork in a timely fashionaccording to policy and procedure. Maintains a client registry and otherdocumentation as required. Submits required reports and completes alldocumentation per contract requirements.
- Maintain all participant records inaccordance with agency and State of Washington Department of Alcohol andDrug Programs policies and standards.
- Advocates for clients withcommunity agencies. This may include scheduling appointments, following upon missed appointments, medication diversion control and making referrals.Maintains strong community partner relations.
- Teaches skills such as problemsolving, goal setting, money management, symptom management,communication, social skills, relapse prevention and how to accesscommunity resources. Assists clients in the development of natural supportsystems.
- Communicates with medical and othercommunity providers to coordinate care.
- Provides supportive counseling andpsychoeducational services to encourage a recovery-oriented lifestyle.
- Maintains familiarity with clientinformation in accordance with Federal Regulations (42 CFR, Part 2), theRevised Code of Washington (RCW 71.05.390 and RCW 71.24), and otherapplicable laws pertaining to confidentiality of client and staffinformation.
- Maintains physical security ofconfidential materials and assigned Agency property.

- Demonstratesproficiency in utilization of the PBH electronic medical record system andthe federal HMIS data system.
- Participates inteam meetings and program development.

- Maintainsprofessional competence through a program of professional development andin-service training.
- Demonstratesflexibility in adapting to changing work demands.

REQUIRED EDUCATION,LICENSE(S), CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
Education: Associate Degree inHuman Services, Addiction Studies, or other related field for SUDP or relevantdegree requirement completions to have obtained SUDP

Licensure: Substance Use Disorders Professional (SUDP) credential inWashington State
Experience:
Experience: One ormore years working in a behavioral health setting or similar setting to gainexperience helping individuals in a 1:1

Other: Mustpossess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehiclereport and reliable, insured transportation
Additional agency requirements:
- Must be able toprovide vaccination records for MMR, Hep B, Tdap and recent flu shot

- Providebiopsychosocial assessment to determine the level of care for CD or CODservices.
- Understandingof the impact of health-related problems on psychiatric illness and knowledgeof medical issues that may mimic psychiatric symptoms in older adults.
- Abilityto educate clients about signs, symptoms, and recovery from substance usedisorder and mental health.
- Understandingof current knowledge on recovery.
- Abilityto coordinate care with multiple service providers.
