Job summary

DCCCA Day Reporting Center in Kansas is seeking a full-time counselor to provide direct client services within a structured treatment program. You will conduct screenings, coordinate services, and ensure safety and documentation standards are met.

Responsibilities include facilitating individual, group, and family counseling, developing treatment plans, and maintaining professional relationships with clients while complying with state licensure and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in behavioral health or addictions treatment preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or equivalent per BSRB.
• Licensure as Licensed Addictions Counselor through Kansas; LMAC preferred.
• CPR certification, AIDS in-service hours, and annual TB testing in residential programs only.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe client environment by following security and safety procedures.
• Assists in client orientation to program rules and treatment goals.
• Submits written incident reports for unusual client behavior.
• Administers drug and alcohol screenings, assessments and evaluations.
• Coordinates services from assessment to discharge and aftercare.
• Recruits speakers and prepares materials to aid client understanding.
• Presents educational lectures and facilitates individual, group and family counseling.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with clients and supports treatment planning.
