Job summary

Elite Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Substance Use Counselor to provide evidence-based care for individuals with substance use disorders. Under supervision, you will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver group and individual counseling to support recovery.

You will maintain thorough documentation in the EHR, coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and applicable regulations while promoting client-centered approaches.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in substance use disorder counseling.
• Active Maryland certification in good standing (ADT/CSC-AD/CAC-AD/LCADC).
• Strong clinical documentation and EHR experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings and biopsychosocial assessments for care planning.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate IOP group sessions and individual counseling.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate care and referrals to community resources.
• Provide crisis intervention and relapse prevention strategies.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and client rights.
