Job summary

The Ellen O'Brien Gaiser Addiction Center, a nonprofit Pennsylvania treatment provider, seeks a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to deliver confidential counseling and case management in line with PA licensure, policies, and trauma-informed care.

The role emphasizes patient-centered assessment, treatment planning, group and individual counseling, and collaboration with healthcare partners to support recovery and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SUD practices and treatment methods.
• Experience with crisis intervention and various counseling modalities.
• Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and conduct intake assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate clients using ASAM, DSM V guidelines.
• Complete intake notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure continuum of care.
• Conduct group and individual counseling sessions; document thoroughly.
