Job summary

Asheville Comprehensive Treatment Center in Asheville, NC is seeking a Substance Use Counselor for our Outpatient MAT OTP. You will provide high quality individual and group counseling to patients with opioid use disorder and document progress to guide treatment plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's or Master's in social or health services preferred.
• Practicum/licensure required for licensing adequada.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings helpful.
• Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone) desirable.
• Experience documenting patient care, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with state/federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient's recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and in a clear, concise manner.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
• Initial assessments as well as follow up assessments.
