Job summary

HealthCare Recruiters International seeks a Substance Abuse Counselor to join a nonprofit community mental health clinic in Hobbs, NM. The position is full-time and on-site, providing direct counseling, treatment planning, and care coordination for individuals with alcohol and drug dependency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with active LSAA, or Bachelor’s degree with LADAC.
• Experience in community-based or outpatient SUD treatment preferred.
• Must work on-site (remote work not available for this role).
• Must pass CYFD and criminal background checks

Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments and gather substance use histories.
• Design and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Provide group and individual counseling for clients with SUD.
• Coordinate care with internal providers and external partners.
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation.
• Participate in care team meetings and progress reviews
