Recovering Hope Treatment Center in Mora, MN is seeking an Alcohol and Drug Counselor Intern for the Spring 2026 semester. This internship offers hands-on clinical experience supporting individuals on their recovery journey.

Under supervision, you will conduct assessments, assist with treatment planning, and support individual and group counseling while building skills for a career in substance use disorder services.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in an accredited program with an approved faculty supervisor.
• Working toward Licensure by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
• Understand Minnesota rules applicable to counselor practice (245G, 245A, etc.).

Aufgaben

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and required assessment surveys (e.g., GAIN-SS).
• Develop individualized service and treatment plans with clients, with measurable goals.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions related to chemical dependency.
• Document client participation, progress, and services accurately.
• Coordinate with Clinical Director and referral sources for continuing care planning.
