Job summary

BayMark Health Services in Georgia is seeking a compassionate, full-time Substance Use Counselor in training to support patients through medically assisted treatments. The role includes individual and group counseling, crisis management, and collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to improve recovery outcomes.

The position requires progress toward or possession of a Georgia CIT license, prior work with chemically dependent individuals, and a respectful, non-judgmental approach.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards or hold current CIT license in the state of Georgia.
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
• Ability to Counsel 30-40 Patients with documentation each month.
• Satisfactory criminal background check & drug screen

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment
• Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Ensures accurate and current clinical records are maintained in accordance with Federal and State Regulations governing NTP clinics
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
