Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s preferred for certified roles.

• Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
• Understanding of substance use treatment and recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Complete intake assessments and contribute to treatment planning.
• Support clients with relapse prevention and recovery goal setting.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program standards.
• Collaborate with clinical and peer support staff.
• Connect clients to community resources and support services.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide individual and group counseling for substance use and co-occurring disorders

What You Bring:

• Active ADT, CAC-AD, or CSC-AD credential in Maryland
• High school diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s preferred for certified roles)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Understanding of substance use treatment and recovery principles
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and TB test

Nice to Have:

• Experience in outpatient, IOP, or community-based treatment programs
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction
• Familiarity with EHR systems
• Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) a plus

Physical Requirements:

• May require sitting, standing, and light lifting (up to 20 lbs)
• Able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
