Job summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor for our outpatient program in Vermont. The role focuses on intake assessment, treatment planning, and delivering individual and group counseling to support recovery.

You will coordinate services, involve families when possible, and help develop aftercare and discharge plans, ensuring high-quality, accessible care for patients. Equal opportunity employer with supportive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Behavioral Science
• Substance abuse counseling experience, preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
• Understanding of an EMR system (electronic medical records)
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Salary ranges from $25.00 to $26.94 an hour.
The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.
