MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor for our outpatient clinic in New Mexico. The role involves guiding patients through medically assisted treatments, conducting individual and group sessions, and collaborating with doctors and nurses to support recovery and coping strategies.

You will perform initial assessments, develop aftercare and discharge plans, and ensure high-quality counseling services while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to

Competenze

• Must have current LSAA, LADAC, LMHC, LMSW, LPCC, LCSW or LMFT.
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
• Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints

Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor Needed!

Position Overview

Substance abuse counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients’ achieving overall outcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
• Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
