Job summary

Potomac Community Services is seeking an Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) to support screening, assessment, case management, and care coordination under licensed clinician supervision in Maryland. This position targets individuals pursuing certification or licensure; it emphasizes engagement with individuals and families, linkage to community resources, and recovery-oriented services.

Salary ranges from $41,600 to $47,840 per year; location: Cumberland, MD; benefits and professional development

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Health and Human Service counseling field with ethics coursework.
• Minimum 15 college credits in alcohol and drug counseling or 15 CEUs in ethics.
• ADTs designation or Maryland Board recognition or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist in screenings and intake assessments for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Provide psychoeducation to individuals and families on substance use and recovery.
• Support implementation of treatment plans under supervision.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate group sessions under supervision.
• Provide case management and care coordination services.
