Job summary

Circles Of Care is seeking an APRN to deliver high-quality, evidence-based MAT services for individuals with opioid use disorders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary MAT team to assess, diagnose, and manage medical and psychiatric needs, focusing on comprehensive MAT delivery.

The role requires Florida APRN licensure (PMHNP/FNP preferred), DEA registration with DATA 2000 waiver, and at least one year of related clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold APRN licensure in Florida with PMHNP or FNP focus.
• DEA registration and DATA 2000 waiver to prescribe buprenorphine.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience with substance use disorders, MAT preferred.

Responsibilities

The fundamental purpose of MAT is to reduce opioid-related harms by increasing access to medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Combined with counseling and psychosocial support, MAT is considered the gold standard for treating opioid use disorders (OUD), providing a comprehensive and holistic approach to aid individuals on their path toward recovery. It addresses both addiction’s physical and psychological aspects, providing an integrative and multifaceted treatment pathway.

JOB SUMMARY

In this role as an APRN, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders. APRNs work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary MAT team to assess, diagnose, and manage the medical and psychiatric needs of our clients, with a focus on providing comprehensive MAT services.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree or Doctorate in Nursing specializing in psychiatric-mental health or addiction nursing.
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the state of Florida.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a specialization in substance use disorders is preferred.
• DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration and DATA 2000 waiver to prescribe buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid use disorder.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, preferably in a MAT or addiction treatment setting.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, cultural competence, and trauma-informed care principles.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation and computer literacy.
• Willingness to pursue continuing education and training in addiction medicine and psychiatric-mental health as needed.
