Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker in Crewe to support service users through referral, assessment, treatment and recovery. You will work Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, in a full-time 3-month contract and be part of a team focused on improving health outcomes.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in health/social care or related field.
  • Training in recovery, motivational interviewing, safeguarding or substance misuse is desirable.
  • Experience supporting individuals affected by drug/alcohol misuse and mental health challenges.
  • Experience managing a caseload in health, social care, charity or community settings.

Responsibilities

  • Support service users from referral and assessment through treatment and recovery.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, recovery planning, and regular reviews.
  • Deliver harm reduction interventions to reduce drug and alcohol-related risks and improve health outcomes.
  • Facilitate structured group sessions, recovery programmes, and psychosocial interventions to support and guide service users on their path to recovery.

Education

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or related field
Motivational interviewing, safeguarding or substance misuse training (desirable)

This is an exciting opportunity to embark on an adventure as a Recovery Worker within the Substance Misuse field, right in the heart of Crewe. Person Specification
  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care, Substance Misuse, Counselling, Community Work, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant recovery, motivational interviewing, safeguarding, or substance misuse training is desirable.
  • Experience supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse, mental health challenges, offending behaviour, homelessness, or social exclusion.
  • Experience managing a caseload within a health, social care, charity, or community-based setting.
