Job summary

RiseWell Community Services is looking for a Full-Time Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor to join their ACT Team in Copiague, NY. In this role, you will provide therapeutic interventions and lead groups to assist members in their recovery. Your responsibilities include working with a team and ensuring compliance with regulations.

The candidate should have a Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling, along with at least one year of relevant experience. A valid NY State driver's license is also required. Excellent benefits are offered, including medical coverage, a 401K plan, and generous paid time off.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment.
• NYS licensed preferred.
• Fingerprinting, criminal record check, and approval from OASAS required.

In this role, the Substance Abuse Counselor will provide therapeutic groups and individual interventions to assist members in growth and recovery. Responsible for substance abuse treatment in program. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Complete all required documentation within a 48 hour period and complies with program and OASAS regulations.

Qualifications

Masters in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling or related field preferred. NYS licensed preferred. At least 1 year of experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment. A valid and clean NY State driver license, fingerprinting, criminal record check, and approval from OASAS.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $50,000 annually
