Job summary

The Ark of DC seeks a Substance Abuse Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care for patients with substance use disorders. You will utilize the nursing process, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and deliver education on overdose risk and therapies in a psychiatric facility setting.

Qualifications

• RN degree required; MSW/Human Services preferred with 4+ years in AOD or mental health (preferred).
• Ability to apply trauma-informed care principles in a psychiatric setting.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with substance use disorders using the nursing process.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team and education delivery on overdose risk and therapies.
• Support medication intakes, follow-up, and psychiatric medication management.
