Job summary

TFI Family Services, Inc. is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor in Kansas. The role includes admission biopsychosocial assessments, patient orientation, treatment planning, and delivering individual, family and group counseling.

You will work through the continuum of care and coordinate with community referrals. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling/Psychology, or a behavioral science field and Kansas Substance Abuse certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling/Psychology or behavioral science related field required with Kansas Substance Abuse certification.
• Must be credentialed to provide billable substance use services or seeking clinical supervision with a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), Licensed Master's Addictions Counselor (LMAC), or Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC) to be eligible to provide billable services.

Responsibilities

• Perform admission biopsychosocial assessment and obtain signatures for release of information.
• Provide patient orientation, treatment planning, individual, family and group counseling, and patient education.
• Follow patients through internal and external continuum of care, discharges and community referrals.
