BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to support patients through medically assisted programs, lead group and individual sessions, and assist with crisis management and coping strategies in an outpatient setting.
The role collaborates with doctors, nurses, and therapists to monitor progress, plan aftercare, and ensure best outcomes. Maryland licensure and background check are required; compensation ranges with experience.
Substance abusecounselorwill be in chargewithassisting patients throughmedicallyassistingprograms and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts group sessions and individual sessions toassistwith crisis management and coping strategies. Additionally,counselorwill evaluate patients’ progress during therapy. Substance abuse counselors may also need to collaborate with doctors, nurses and therapists for patients’ therapy and treatment for best overalloutcome.
Counselors have access to AI-supported clinical documentation tools designed to help streamline case notes and administrative tasks, making documentation more efficient while supporting high-quality patient care.
Salary ranges from $45,000 – $60,000 annualized. (This position is non-exempt, overtime eligible with prior approval)
The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education,specialtyand training.
