Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Full‑Time Counselor at Silver Ridge, Mills River, NC. The role requires weekend availability and focuses on addiction treatment and mental health recovery using evidence‑based modalities.

Responsibilities include individual, group, and family counseling, assessments, and treatment planning within a multidisciplinary team. A Master's degree and NC licensure eligibility are required, with strong documentation and crisis‑response skills expected.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field is required.
• Active or associate/provisional NC licensure options include LCSW/LCSWA, LCMHC/LCMHCA, or LCAS/LCASA.
• Willingness to obtain LCAS licensure if not already held.
• Experience in substance use, mental health, trauma, or co‑occurring disorders preferred.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).

• Maintain timely clinical documentation in the EHR.

• Participate in on‑call rotation as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and respond to crises.

Silver Ridge, part of Pyramid Healthcare, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full‑Time Counselor to join our team in Mills River, NC. This position requires flexibility to work weekends as part of the regular schedule while providing exceptional clinical care to individuals in recovery.

Silver Ridge specializes in providing clinically effective addiction treatment for established, midlife adults (ages 35+) navigating substance use challenges. Our holistic, evidence‑based approach incorporates therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing while fostering healing, personal growth, and long‑term recovery.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling services.

• Participate in treatment planning, utilization review, discharge planning, and aftercare coordination.

• Assist with program development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the on‑call rotation as assigned.
• Help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and respond appropriately to crisis situations.
• Work a full‑time schedule that includes required weekend availability.
