Job summary

Crossroads is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor in Jacksboro, TN to provide individual counseling and conduct clinical assessments for patients. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree and be licensed in Tennessee as LMSW.

Day in the Life of a Substance Abuse Counselor

• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
• Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs.
• Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
• Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements.
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services.
• Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.

Qualified candidates will hold one or more of the following certifications/licenses

• Master’s degree in counseling or a related field.
• Must be licensed in the state of TN as LMSW. Experience treating opioid‑addicted patients is not a requirement but is preferred.
• No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• If recovering, three years of continuous verifiable abstinence is required.
• General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
• Lived addiction experience is a plus.

Schedule and Hours

Expected hours for this role are 37-40 hours per week.

• Monday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Tuesday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
• Wednesday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Thursday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Friday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
