Job summary

Crossroads Treatment Centers in Morristown, TN is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join our outpatient MAT-focused team. You will provide individual counseling, conduct clinical assessments, design and update treatment plans, and coordinate care with nurses and providers to support recovery.

Qualified candidates will have LMSW, LCSW, LPC or LADAC credentials and experience serving underserved populations. We offer comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
• Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs.
• Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
• Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements.
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services.
• Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.

Day in the Life of a Substance Abuse Counselor

• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients

Schedule and Hours

Expected hours for this role are 40 hours per week.

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Education And Experience Requirements

• General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
• Lived addiction experience is a plus.

Qualified candidates will hold one or more of the following certifications/licenses:

• LMSW
• LCSW
• LPC
• LADAC
