Management & Training Corporation (MTC) at the Kyle Correctional Center Programs Unit in Kyle, Texas, seeks a qualified counselor to support chemical dependency treatment programs and offender rehabilitation. The role focuses on planning, evaluation, and delivery of counseling services while adhering to program standards and maintaining accurate records.

Applicants must have a GED or higher, at least two years of relevant experience, and hold LCDC or CCJP credentials or equivalent.

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent (GED) required.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in planning chemical dependency counseling programs; coordinates delivery of counseling services to offenders with histories of chemical use, abuse, or addiction.
• Provides a comprehensive evaluation from a battery of valid measurement tools to assess recovery needs and re-offense risk.
• Participates in the Individual Treatment Plan based on severity and characteristics of the offender as determined by assessment, collateral information, and clinical interview.
• Provides counseling and recovery skills training; participates in offender orientation, educational and individual and process counseling groups.
• Maintains offender records and related services documentation; compiles data and submits reports.
• Develops an Individual Progress Summary for each offender on caseload and submits to Parole Division.
