Job summary

Crossroads Treatment Centers in the United States is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide individual counseling, conduct clinical assessments, and design/update treatment plans within a holistic care team.

The role supports a 37-40 hour week, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST, with opportunities for advancement to counselor levels. Licensure such as LMSW/LCSW/LAPC/LPC/LADAC is preferred; lived addiction experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
  • Lived addiction experience is a plus.
  • Qualified candidates will hold LMSW, LCSW, LAPC, LPC, or LADAC certifications/licenses.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
  • Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs.
  • Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
  • Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements.
  • Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services.
  • Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.

Day in the Life of a Substance Abuse Counselor
  • Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients
  • Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs

Schedule and Hours
  • Expected hours for this role are 37-40 hours per week. 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, CST Monday through Friday
Education and Experience requirements
  • General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
  • Lived addiction experience is a plus.
  • Qualified candidates will hold one or more of the following certifications/licenses: LMSW, LCSW, LAPC, LPC, or LADAC
Position Benefits
