Job summary

Wesley Behavioral Health Services LLC in Asheville, NC seeks a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our CST team and provide counseling to individuals with substance use disorders. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and apply evidence-based therapies to support recovery.

Qualifications

Requires degree in counseling/psychology/social work.
Valid CADC or LCAS licensure.
Experience with substance use disorders and trauma-informed care.
Familiar with CBT and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

Facilitate individual counseling sessions focused on recovery and behavioral change
Apply evidence-based techniques such as CBT
Support clients in coping skills and relapse prevention
Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physicians, therapists, and social workers
Maintain confidential client records per HIPAA and clinical standards
Provide crisis intervention and support
Attend weekly CST meetings
Travel between clients
