Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking an experienced regional leader to oversee multiple offices in the Irvine region. The role focuses on driving growth, mentoring regional managers, and optimizing financial and marketing performance across offices.

You will evaluate market opportunities, set strategic direction, and pursue national contract opportunities while promoting collaboration and the company’s resources across regions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role as branch leader.
• BS or MS from an ABET-accredited college/university in Civil Engineering or related field.
• P.E. or P.G. license, or equivalent, or able to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiaries.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Build team-oriented relationships with office managers to provide leadership, oversight, and mentoring support in seeking out business opportunities for the assigned offices.
• Monitor and track regional office finances (including profit/loss, accounts receivable), marketing strategies (proposal generation, rates), office productivity, resources, standardization, and training.
• Evaluate market opportunities, trends, and successes in other regions.
• Apply best management practices within the region where appropriate.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight of Regional Managers and Subsidiary Directors.
• Take the lead and coordinate regional business opportunities.
• Seek project leads and marketing opportunities across regions.
• Participate in trade association conferences and seek out project opportunities, including regional-based as well as national contract agreements.
• Oversee and participate in regional market segmentation groups to provide leadership in their efforts.
• Promote team work and the company-wide resources available

Qualifications

• 10 years of related experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role as leader of a branch office required
• BS or MS from an ABET accredited college/university in Civil Engineering, or related field
• Must have a P.E. or P.G. license, or equivalent, or be capable of obtaining licensure within six months following the date of hire
• If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required
• Strong marketing and business development abilities, proven successful P&L responsibility, and strong leadership skills
• Excellent decision-making skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The expected pay range for this role and location is $250k - $350k/year. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
