Job description

As a Perishable Department Coordinator, you will work with a team to ensure the best food items are in stock and ready for service counter and pre-made products. What will I do?

1. Understand the products offered in the department.
2. Maintain the appearance of the department, ensuring fresh products, well-merchandised displays, proper stock levels, and recognizing seasonal effects on sales.
3. Ensure products look and taste at their peak, using core recipes and techniques for consistent quality.
4. Assist in ordering and inventory management to control stock and shrinkage.
5. Provide proactive, friendly customer service, offering meal suggestions and answering product questions.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in food service, restaurant, grocery, or retail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Food preparation experience.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new situations and topics.

Work Environment and Additional Information

The physical demands include walking, standing (up to 4 hours), repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, reaching, frequent lifting (5-15 pounds), occasional heavy lifting (up to 40 pounds), and continuous customer and coworker interaction in a fast-paced setting. Exposure to cold temperatures (33-55°F), hot equipment, allergens, and the use of basic kitchen tools are also involved.
