What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and maintain a variety of subrogation cases, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
- Conduct thorough reviews of case documents and confirm eligibility for beneficiaries
- Interact professionally with attorneys, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to facilitate recovery
- Prepare necessary correspondence and negotiate claim/lien settlements per contract guidelines
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and government security requirements in all processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the subrogation or insurance industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security rules
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a legal office as a paralegal or legal assistant
- Familiarity with Medicaid and/or Medicare regulations
- Ability to interpret an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and related documents
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
- Understanding of the subrogation industry and its practices
