Job summary

PrideStaff is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Submittal Drafter in Rogers, MN for in-person work. You will translate architectural intent into precise submittal drawings and collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines.

Proficiency in AutoCAD 2015+ and familiarity with Inventor or SolidWorks are required, along with strong communication and time-management skills. You will review complex project docs, draft RFIs, and perform peer reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

AutoCAD Submittal Drafter

Location: Rogers, MN (In-Person)

Job Type: Full-time (8-Hour Shift + Overtime opportunities)

Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (Dependent on Qualifications)

Role Overview

As an Experienced Submittal Drafter, you will be responsible for translating architectural intent into highly accurate manufacturing and installation drawings. You will collaborate closely with project managers, review peer designs, and ensure project deadlines are met with precision.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Design: Utilize AutoCAD to produce precise architectural submittal drawings for architect and client approval.

Document Analysis: Review and analyze complex project documentation to develop detailed drawings that accurately capture the scope of work.

Project Management Support: Partner with Project Managers to update drawings, generate sketches, draft RFIs, address unique field conditions, and revise documents based on field dimensions.

Quality Assurance: Conduct peer reviews of fellow drafters' work to guarantee technical accuracy and adherence to standards.

Time Management: Consistently deliver high-quality projects on time while managing multiple overlapping deadlines.

General Support: Perform other departmental duties as assigned to support team success.

Qualifications & Requirements

Technical Expertise: Completed training and proven proficiency in AutoCAD (version 2015 or newer). Familiarity with Inventor or Solidworks.

Industry Experience: Direct prior experience in architectural submittal drafting is required (1+ years preferred).

Software Skills: Knowledgeable and comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Soft Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail and strong time management capabilities.

Screening: Must be willing to pass a pre-hiring background check and a post-offer, pre-hire drug screening in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Requirements:

Formal training and proficiency in AutoCAD 2015 or newer.

Strong mechanical aptitude; sheet metal experience is a significant plus.

Excellent time management and multi-tasking capabilities.
