Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience conducting software performance tests to validate design specifications for sonar and acoustic systems.
• Knowledge of submarine sonar systems such as ARCI, APB, or TI, and core acoustic processing concepts.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Physics, or STEM field or 10+ years as a technician in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support NAVSEA by providing engineering, testing, and integration support for sonar and acoustic systems across environments.
• Conduct software performance testing to validate design specifications and support development activities.
• Coordinate formal certification events and serve as a subject matter resource to partners and vendors.
• Plan and execute sonar system test events, including operational demonstrations.
• Contribute to automation testing and analysis; drive quality through code and tool reviews.
