Job summary

A government service organization is seeking a knowledgeable professional to analyze schedule performance challenges in submarine production. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and a DoD Secret clearance, along with extensive experience in operations and manufacturing. Key responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, conducting observation studies, and developing improvement strategies to enhance production. This role requires at least 6 years of experience and a background in engineering or operations management.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Active or current DoD Secret clearance required.
  • Ability to communicate with discretion.
  • Manufacturing, Production, and/or Operations experience preferred.
  • Project/Program management experience desired.
  • Team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and communicate the scope and impact of construction-related schedule delays.
  • Conduct observation studies to identify process barriers impacting effectiveness.
  • Liaison with stakeholders to resolve construction-impacting issues.
  • Document and identify barriers slowing down submarine construction goals.
  • Work closely with engineering and production to resolve technical issues.
  • Develop process improvement recommendations based on observations.
