Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking an STO Mechanical Test Instructor to train submarine test personnel within the D272 STO Training Branch for Virginia Class and Columbia Class programs.

You will develop a mechanical curriculum, manage training materials and records, and deliver classroom and hands-on training, with scheduling supporting multiple shifts and ongoing program needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret or higher clearance.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience with submarine mechanical systems or naval experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish a mechanical curriculum and manage course training materials.
• Administer qualification and training records and conduct classroom and practical training.
• Develop curriculum from technical requirements and evaluate tester knowledge.
• Conduct onboarding in the Active Learning Center and evaluate probationary personnel.
• Develop and implement ongoing just-in-time training for technicians and supervisors.
• Maintain awareness and attendance of computer-based and in-person training events.
