Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced logistics professional to join our team in Groton, Connecticut. This is an active role requiring hands-on support in warehouse and shipyard environments.

Essential duties include inventory management, equipment installation support, shipping documentation, and secure handling of government equipment. A Secret clearance and DoD logistics experience are required. Strong travel up to 10% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Five (5) years of experience in supervisory or warehouse lead roles at a DoD facility; logistics support for projects involving electronic/electrical repair and installation, ordering, distribution of material, equipment and resources.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory management, cataloging, warehouse management, material coordination, data entry, and property control.
• Assist technicians with equipment removal/installations during submarine new construction.
• Create, complete and verify receiving/shipping documentation; report discrepancies and damages.
• Provide logistic deck plate support to removal/installation team leads.
• Store, stack and palletize heavy, sensitive and controlled government equipment following safety regs.
• Operate hand or power trucks for warehousing duties.
• Conduct quality assurance tasks including inspections and inventory checks.
• Manage inventory of decentralized controlled items, including supplies and equipment.
• Generate and submit configuration files for submarine new construction processes.

Amentum is seeking an experienced logistics professional to join our team and help support our customer in Groton, Connecticut. This is anactive role, not a desk job, requiring hands-on support in warehouse and shipyard environments.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform inventory management, cataloging, warehouse management, material coordination, data entry, and property control in support of various supply activities and/or equipment installations.
• Assist technicians with equipment removal/installations during the submarine new construction process.
• Create, complete and verify receiving/shipping documentation, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages.
• Provide logistic deck plate support to removal/installation team leads.
• Store, stack and palletize heavy, sensitive and controlled government electronic equipment within the mandated safety regulations.
• Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
• Perform miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.
• Responsible for inventory management of decentralized controlled items, including supplies and equipment.
• Generate and submit configuration files in support of submarine new construction processes.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret US Government Clearance
• High School Diploma or GED
• Five (5) years of experience, to include: supervisory or warehouse lead at a DoD facility;logisticssupport for projects involving electronic/ electrical repair and installation, ordering, acquisition, distribution of material,equipmentand resources.
• Possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a government driving permit as required
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to overcome issues at the lowest level
• Ability to travel as required, up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

• PreviousNavy/Submarine/shipyard supply technician experience.
