Job summary

Aiken Technical College seeks dedicated tutors to support students across subjects, helping them grasp concepts and master course material. You may tutor in groups or one-on-one, in classroom or other settings, applying college-level strategies to boost understanding.

Candidates must hold at least an Associate’s degree in the relevant subject and demonstrate strong interpersonal and computer skills, including Microsoft Office. A flexible schedule and commitment to student success are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have earned a B or higher in the subject/course to be tutored.
• Strong interpersonal skills and basic computer skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in groups, individually or in the classroom on a subject area using college skills strategies.
• Assist students with homework, test prep, time management, and study skills.
• Review academic challenges, clarify course material, and help develop solutions for mastery of content.
• Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, communication, and teamwork according to policies.
