The Opportunity:

Unity Environmental University Distance Education seeks enthusiastic individuals to serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the development of a Bachelor of Science program in Applied Psychology and Biophilic Design. SMEs work closely with an academic dean to advise on and develop curricula, including program-level learning outcomes and course descriptions and sequences. They also collaborate with staff to create learner-focused materials to support program recruitment and marketing.

Qualifications

Do you have the skills?

  • An advanced degree (Master’s minimum) in psychology, landscape design, interior design, or other related field, with significant professional experience applying psychological principles to design.
  • Broad understanding of the field of biophilic design and best practices within the field.
  • Familiarity with the skills and content knowledge required for successful career advancement in biophilic design.
  • Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.
  • Experience with online teaching and/or distance learners is desirable.
  • Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the Institution.
