Job Description

Energetics is accepting applications for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in renewable energy for immediate employment. This is a great opportunity to get involved in renewable energy technology consulting. Qualified candidates will have degrees in engineering or scientific fields, as detailed below. The position is for a part-time SME with expertise in renewable energy, preferably with significant utility, industry, or national laboratory R&D experience. Leadership experience in R&D is a plus. This remote position may require some travel for technical meetings.

We are recruiting for expertise in:

• 15+ years of renewable energy experience
• Assessment of renewable energy options
• Renewable energy system design and grid integration
• Operations and maintenance of renewable energy systems

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Analysis of trends and technical factors related to renewable energy
• Research and analysis of renewable energy projects
• Research and analysis of regulations and policies impacting renewable energy deployment
• Development of studies, reports, and summaries on renewable energy technology trends
• Research needs assessments and roadmaps for renewable energy technology development

Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced degree in engineering or scientific field; equivalent experience may be considered
• At least 15 years of relevant renewable energy experience
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and deployment challenges
• Experience in program and project management is a plus

Compensation and Other Details
