Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a Subject Matter Expert I to work in our Arlington, Virginia office. The role focuses on evaluating materials, chemistry, photonics, and hardware to support DARPA MXO research. You will assist program managers from concept through execution and transition, coordinating with diverse teams to ensure mission-driven outcomes.

The position requires 10+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree, and U.S. citizenship for security-clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • S. citizenship required for security-clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate research involving advanced materials, chemistry, photonic devices, hardware components, manufacturing processes, or their integration into larger systems.
  • Review approaches, evidence, test plans, results, and risks; recommend actions to resolve uncertainties.
  • Support proposal reviews, program reviews, demonstrations, new program development, and transition planning.
  • Connect technical findings to cost, schedule, manufacturability, supply-chain resilience, and mission performance considerations.
  • Advise program managers on planning, execution, cost, schedule, risk, and transition throughout the R&D lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with performers, government partners, test organizations, and other experts to move efforts toward measurable objectives.
  • Develop technical and programmatic materials for leadership and stakeholders (briefings, reports, assessments).
  • Contribute to new program concepts by researching emerging science and evaluating military relevance.
