Job summary

Tensley Consulting is seeking a Subject Matter Expert 2 to translate Government requirements into project plans from configuration to deployment and sustainment for IT systems in various specialties.

The SME will assist other project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance efforts across information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, automation, and related domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 4 years in collection, processing and distribution technology.
• Eight years’ experience can substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Certifications include Sec+ or CCNA and CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Translate Government requirements into project plans from configuration to deployment and sustainment for IT subject matter areas.
• Assist other project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance efforts.
• Work across specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; software; life-cycle management; modeling and simulation.

Tensley Consulting is seeking a Subject Matter Expert 2 that will translate Government requirements into project plans from configuration to deployment and sustainment for a particular IT subject matter area (i.e., simple to complex systems) and assist other project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; software; life-cycle management; and modeling and simulation.

SMEs are authorities on past and current technologies necessary for mission success in hostile areas.

Education/Experience

Bachelor\'s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university is required in addition to four (4) years’ experience in collection, processing and distribution technology. Eight (8) years’ experience in collection, processing and distribution technology can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Salary: $140,000-$155,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position, but is not guaranteed. Salary is based on experience, location and contractual requirements which could fall outside of the range listed.
