We are seeking an experienced Subcontracts Manager with a minimum of 8 years in U.S. federal government subcontracting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations, possess excellent negotiation skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage complex subcontract agreements.

This position operates in a professional office environment. Some travel may be required to meet with subcontractors or attend industry events. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of subcontracting activities, including solicitation, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies
  • Develop and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and evaluate subcontractor responses to ensure alignment with project requirements and objectives
  • Negotiate subcontract terms, pricing, and deliverables to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, timelines, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, legal, finance, and compliance teams, to address subcontract-related matters
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive subcontract files and documentation in accordance with organizational and federal requirements
  • Stay current with changes in federal acquisition regulations and implement necessary adjustments to subcontracting processes
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior subcontract administrators and other procurement staff
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in subcontract management within the U.S. federal government contracting environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific supplements
  • Proven experience in negotiating complex subcontract agreements and managing subcontractor relationships
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Active security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)
  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) contracting processes and requirements
