Subcontract Closeout
  • Maintain a prioritized closeout register showing each subcontract’s status, outstanding actions, responsible parties and target dates; follow up with the relevant teams to progress closure.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Engineering and other responsible functions to confirm completion status and identify outstanding work, defects, documentation, warranties and other contractual deliverables.
  • Reconcile subcontract values, approved and pending Change Orders, payments, retention, backcharges and other potential deductions with Procurement, Cost Control and Finance; identify and resolve discrepancies before final account approval.
  • Review unresolved subcontractor requests and other commercial matters; prepare final account recommendations and support negotiations, with any settlement subject to the required approvals.
  • Prepare and coordinate the execution of final account documentation and applicable lien waivers and releases using approved forms; identify outstanding liens, payment disputes and related claims, and coordinate their resolution with Contracts, Legal and Finance before final payment, as applicable.
