Subassembly Technician - Level I - Weekend Day Shift

Join us as a Subassembly Technician - Level I - Weekend Day Shift at Jobs via Dice.

This role is with Blue Origin, a leader in space exploration, focusing on developing reusable space vehicles for the benefit of Earth. The position involves assembly, testing, and process improvement of rocket engine components, supporting safe and efficient spaceflight operations.

Responsibilities
  • Precision assembly of rocket engine components including valves, combustion devices, turbomachinery, and avionics.
  • Disassembly, repair, troubleshooting, and diagnostics of components.
  • Hydraulic and leak testing, environmental testing, and structural proof testing.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, supporting equipment design and integration.
  • Developing and refining manufacturing processes, supporting design feedback, and creating work instructions.
  • Identifying non-conformances and supporting corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • 0-8 years of experience in valve, turbomachinery, or engine assembly.
  • Strong skills in precision assembly, interpreting engineering drawings, and reading specifications.
  • Experience with process development and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in CAD, scheduling, issue tracking, and MS Office.
  • Ability to work with hazardous materials, lift up to 50 lbs, and work flexible hours including overtime and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel for training for 6-12 months.
