Job summary

Strong reading ability in English required; 1–3 years MIG welding in manufacturing preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• D1.1 Flat certification within 30 days of starting position.
• 1–3 years trade training/experience as a MIG welder in manufacturing.
• Must be able to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Set up welding equipment to specifications, including gas and wire changes.
• Read and interpret sub-weld fabrication prints to determine weld type, location and length.
• Measure components with standard inches and metric millimeters.
• Use levels and squares to verify alignment to specification.
• Perform fillet welds and short vertical-down welds and prepare components for welding.
• Tack, bevel, fit, and prepare components; complete weld repairs as needed.
• Identify missing components and obtain replacements as per process.
• Operate crane equipment after required training and certification.
• Complete production documentation and work sign-off procedures.
• Maintain safety by following 5S and workplace rules.
